This place is great! Has lots of open area! Enough people around for the right amount of dog socializing ! Lots of fun bridges, and walkways through the trees, leading to some wonderful waterside trails . Only 1 thing, if you plan to offleash, it is not fully fenced. But for the trained doggo 🐶 😏 no problem. Happy walking! …
Great park for walking, running or biking - with kids or dogs. Lots of trails - some paved. Part of the trail goes by a creek. Beautiful views and wildlife - prairie dogs and hawks.
What a great experience! We took the trails, and there were a lot of them, to go in all different directions. All depend on what you want to experience, whether it be open, wooded, or even by the creek. I saw nature's creatures in their natural habitat. Like beavers, and ducks in the water, and prairie dogs in the open fields. The park was very busy, and there's loads of cyclists. But they will warn you on the side that they're on, but just stay to the right 👉
Just a while back, my boyfriend and I headed over to Bear Creek Lake for a fishing trip. Let me tell you, it was a sight to behold! The place is absolutely gorgeous, and it's teeming with wildlife. We were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a snapping turtle during our adventure! The whole experience was simply amazing.
Randomly found this spot & it did not disappoint! Gorgeous views of the mountains 🏔️! …
Lots of mosquitoes at sunset and no good place to keep a good view of the sun to the end but there are a few good shots to be found in the tall flowers!
There are power lines on the west side as well, kind of in the way.
I didn't explore the east side of the park, just the west side and across the road (not the park!) but you can see the prairie dogs and they holes all over that park, especially from the north side road
If you love the out doors with easy access and foot trails this is the place. Nice fishable ponds with handy cap areas and piers. There are some big fish in the ponds! Some ponds are a little walk in but accessable by foot on dirt road and some by paved trail. Lots of wildlife and a huge prairie dog farm. Hawks, coyotes and large fish eating birds. Wood ducks and smaller water foul abundand. Some great photo ops there!
Such a wonderful park. You can stroll right along the banks of the creek or ride your bike along the on the path. We had such a good time watching prairie dogs and birds what a wonderful place.
